Sonnox Ltd. is a specialist audio software Company, located in rural Oxfordshire UK.  We have an acclaimed portfolio of plug-in products targeting the top Digital Audio Workstations, such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Nuendo and Logic.  Our worldwide customers range from professional to enthusiast, and include the most prestigious studio owners, music producers and engineers, top games manufacturers and mastering houses for Hollywood blockbusters. We are a small, dynamic and motivated team, with a passion for audio and related technology.

We are looking for talented and self-motivated Software Developers who can bring their software engineering experience and passion to our new projects. We have more than one vacancy and are interested in a range of seniority and experience. You will work closely with our established and passionate development team on a variety of innovative new software projects. 
Your responsibilities will include: 

  • To help specify, design and build new software products,
  • You'll evaluate new technologies, and adopt and refine new working practices,
  • You'll help us maintain and grow our portfolio, which currently ranges from iOS apps and embedded DSP to VST/AU/AAX plug-ins,
  • Most importantly, you will write high performance, maintainable code for future new products,
  • Fixing bugs and other general maintenance of our existing audio software.

Experience with the following is desirable:

  • Excellent C/C++ and object-oriented programming skills are essential,
  • DSP programming and/or high performance real-time graphics development would be desirable,
  • A Degree in Computer Science or Audio Technology is desirable, but a track record and experience in creative and innovative audio product design is more important,
  • Experience with JUCE, Visual Studio and Xcode, and familiarity with Git
  • You should have a knowledge of plugin formats (AAX, AU, VST)
  • You are likely to be familiar with DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic and Reaper, preferably with experience for both Windows and Mac,

You must be a team player with excellent organisational and communication skills.  Experience in the audio industry and an interest in music production are preferred, as are creative problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver successfully to a deadline.
