University of Central Oklahoma adopt the Elite Plug-Ins Fundamentals course

We at Sonnox are keen to support the audio professionals of the future in the most effective ways we can. In addition to discounts for educational facilities and their students, we recently became the first third party to develop a course as part of the Avid Learning Partner scheme. Our Sonnox Elite Plug-ins Fundamentals (SO110) course provides a thorough and practical understanding of how the plug-ins can be used to solve universal real world audio problems.

It’s with great pride that we can announce that lecturers at the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma (ACM @ UCO for short) have recently completed the teacher training and will be offering the course to students very soon.

Patrick Conlon (pictured left), Assistant Director says ‘This new partnership with Sonnox allows us to integrate a hands-on curriculum to our coursework which culminates in an official certification from Sonnox and Avid. These are professional plug-ins that myself and all of the Avid Certified Instructors at ACM @ UCO use on a daily basis, and we can now get our students certified through a rigorous training program. Josep and the Sonnox team have been wonderful to work with, and we look forward to implementing the Sonnox curriculum in our coursework.’

Kevin Lively (pictured right), who will be teaching the course, adds that ‘The course was very informative, even for myself, as an owner and skilled user of Sonnox plug-ins. We wanted to add more plug-in specific learning to our program and now we can add the Sonnox Elite Fundamentals Training and Certification for an even broader training. Students will be able to understand the basic concepts of the Sonnox suite as well as putting them into more creative uses. The exercises helped demonstrate specific principles that you might not have tried if used only on your own productions. The training is very effective and demonstrates new ways of approaching even other training within the AVID instruction material.’

Finally, we would like to publicly thank Patrick, Kevin and all at ACM @ UCO for the positivity they’ve shown throughout the training course and wish them, and their students, all the very best in adding this course to their already well-rounded curriculum.
